Updating large recordsets takes long time in ms access database - professional dating website

I had used the UNOPTIMIZED tags to call Quick Books directly because the basic rule is to always read historical information out of the file (NOSYNC) and to read very new data directly out of Quick Books (UNOPTIMIZED).I am resigned to the fact that the Invoice Line Table takes up to 5 hours to completely optimize on this system because it is so large.

So, I can't use: In the question marc_s (who knows his SQL stuff) says do not use it.In fact, we recommend optimizing the tables you require on a table by table basis only. For example, for the Invoice Line table you can fully resync your optimized Invoice Line table by running: 2.My query is simply "SELECT * FROM INVOICELINE NOSYNC".Why would it try to optimize that table when there is no reference to it at all? If so then there must be an issue or bug with large datasets (over 100K records)? Because you did "SELECT * FROM INVOICELINE NOSYNC", the SELECT * forces a Receive Payment Line lookup to make sure open balances are correct and because Receive Payment Line hasn't been optimized it started it I guess even with a NOSYNC.The default is 500, and it can be set to any value up to 100,000.

Suppose you have a long process in Access that is triggered by clicking a form button. Drop me an email and I will promptly and gladly rectify it.

Click the Office Button at the top left corner of Access window. Should any right be infringed, it is totally unintentional.

Please note that, if you turn the display of system messages off in Visual Basic, you must turn it back on, or it will remain off. It may work in Access 2000, but certain actions may not work in Access 2003 or other versions. What I don't understand is why the optimizer insists on Optimizing the "Receive Payment Line" table when I try to access the optimized Invoice Line Database.

There are no references in my query to that table AT ALL.

There are lots of ways to select a random record or row from a database table.
